Colombo (News 1st); The private bus strike which to be in effect from midnight on Monday (08) was postponed to next week, said the Lanka Private Bus Owners Association.
The decision to postpone the bus strike was made following an agreement reached on Monday (08) morning between bus associations and State Minister of Money & Capital Market and State Enterprise Reforms Ajith Nivard Cabraal.
The State Minister had agreed to solve the issues pertaining to leases and loans of private bus owners by Thursday (11), said Gemunu Wijeratne, the Chairman of the Lanka Private Bus Owners Association.
If the matters are not resolved the one-week strike action will go ahead as planned next week, he warned.
