Minor tremor reported in Walapane, N'Eliya

Colombo (News 1st); A minor tremor was recorded in Walapane, Nuwara Eliya, reported the Geological Survey and Mines Bureau on Friday (22).

Chairman of GSMB Anura Walpola said the tremor was recorded as 1.8 in the Richter Scale. The tremor was reported at 03 AM on Friday (22), he said adding it was recorded as the Mahakanadarawa, Hakmana, and Pallekele Seismic Stations. A team is already en route to Walapane to study the events, he added.
