Gazettes are not in line with the laws : AKD

COLOMBO (News1st): Many gazette notifications published by the government are not in line with the country's laws, Jathika Jana Balawegaya leader Anura Kumara Dissanayake has said. "Certain gazette notifications are issued to deceive the people," Dissanayake claimed during a parliamentary debate on Wednesday. He pointed out that the government has amended import levy's in two weeks although an amendment cannot be announced within a month of making the first change. Dissanayake observed that lands minister S.M. Chandrasena had recently lifted a requirement to explore, mine, transport, or sell minerals. "It was to provide relief to sand and soil smugglers," the JJB leader argued.
