Colombo (News 1t); A meeting of party leaders is being held in Parliament today.
It is to be held at 9.30 am under the patronage of Speaker Mahinda Yapa Abeywardena.
Sergeant-at-arms Narendra Fernando said the party leaders' meeting has been convened in order to discuss matters of concern during the Parliamentary Week which is to be held from 19th to the 21st January.
He said that the manner in which the Parliament will be convened in view of the current COVID 19 situation will also be discussed at this meeting.
Meanwhile, PCR tests conducted in Parliament have confirmed that 9 people tested positive for COVID 19.
The Parliamentary Media Unit said these consist of five members of the Parliamentary Staff, one from the Security Forces and three attached to the Security Zone outside Parliament.
