Colombo (News 1st); The Kattankudy Police area is the only police area currently placed in isolation, in addition to several Grama Niladhari Divisions and condominiums that have been isolated at territorial level.
Sri Lanka Police arrested 29 people for violating the quarantine regulations to wear face mask and maintain social distancing, while a total 2578 people were arrested since the 30th of October 2020, said DIG Ajith Rohana.
In addition, a special operation is underway to monitor whether the general public & institutions are following the health guidelines which were published via gazette to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
