Colombo (News 1st); The identification of 697 coronavirus positives during the last 24 hours has increased the number of cases in the island up to 30,074, the National Operations Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak (NOCPCO) stated on Thursday (10).

The following is a breakdown of COVID-19 cases detected in Sri Lanka, based on the respective districts.

Colombo - 357

Gampaha - 219

Kalutara - 16

Kandy 38

Kurunegala - 04

Ratnapura - 10

Ampara - 25

Galle - 03

Puttlam - 16

Nuwara Eliya - 03

Hambantota - 01

Polonnaruwa - 01

Matale - 01

Overseas Cases - 03.

According to data from the National Operations Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak (NOCPCO) 12,961 COVID-19 cases were reported from the Colombo District from the 04th of October to date.

During the same period, 7,238 COVID-19 cases were reported from Gampaha while 1,605 COVID-19 cases were reported from Kalutara.

From the 04th of October to-date, 921 COVID-19 cases were reported from the Kandy district.

During the same time period, 421 cases were reported from the Kurunegala District while 411 cases were reported from the Ratnapura District.
