Pahiyangala Ananda Thero alleges foul play by State Minister Ranasinghe

Convening a press conference earlier today, Ven. Pahiyangala Ananda Sagara Thero of the Surakimu Sri Lanka Organisation alleged that plans are afoot to construct a road through the flood plains national park. He alleged that, this is the doing of State Minister Roshan Ranasinghe, adding that the road is being constructed to treach a quarry. The Venerable Thero further alleged that the construction of the road will divide the Wildlife reserve. The Thero added that the president must remember that knowledgable citizens of this country elected him into power and gave him a 2/3rds majority to protect our resources and national identity, The Thero added that the president has forgotten his responsibility.
