Police Officer And 4 Other Suspects Arrested At Dondra Head Handed Over To Police Narcotics Bureau

COLOMBO (News 1st); The five individuals, including a constable from the Western Province Intelligence Division, who were arrested in Dondra Head have been handed over to the Police Narcotics Bureau.

Police say the suspects are being further interrogated by the Police Narcotics Bureau.

It was also revealed that approximately Rs. 32.8 million was recovered from the suspects.

According to the police, the Special Task Force (STF) made the arrest based on a tip-off and conducted a search of a vehicle, leading to the arrests.

The five individuals, including the police constable, were taken into custody by the STF.

The vehicle used by the suspects has also been seized by the police, while investigations are currently being conducted under the supervision of the Police Narcotics Bureau.
