Sri Lankan Members of Parliament to receive TABS

Colombo (News 1st); Sri Lanka's Parliament Speaker Mahinda Yapa Abeywardena said Members of Parliament would be provided with Ipad devices so they can easily follow the activities of the Parliament as well as the agenda for the day.
He said at present MPs are provided with documents on all matters required by them, adding this leads to a waste of money and time.
The speaker went on to note, large piles of documents on the desks of MPs pose obstructions to carry out their work.
Speaker Mahinda Yapa Abeywardena speaking to News 1st said following the provision of the Ipad, MPs can easily access documents and also obtain the necessary material via email.
