Malaka Silva arrested for threatening a businessman with death

Colombo (News 1st); The Thalangama Police on Tuesday (11) arrested Malaka Silva, the son of Former Parliamentarian Mervyn Silva for threatening to kill a businessman living in the Thalangama Police Jurisdiction.
Sri Lanka Police said the businessman in question had filed a complaint with the Thalangama Police against Malaka Silva on the 16th of July 2020 for attempting to obtain Rs. 100,000/- by force and threatening him with death.
Malaka Silva will be produced at the Kaduwela Magistrate's Court on Wednesday (12), added Sri Lanka Police.
