Eggs thrown at Susantha Punchinilame's rally in Kantale

COLOMBO (News1st): Eggs were thrown at a rally attended by parliamentary election candidate Susantha Punchinilame in Kantale on Saturday night. The incident had taken place when the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna candidate was delivering an address. Security was tightened at the location following the incident. "As a person who has experience serving in the Sri Lanka Army these are not challenges," Punchinilame told supporters during the rally. He recalled that he dealt with bombs and suicide bombers and was a front line officer in the battle to save Thoppigala. "Please ask the childish politicians in our party in this district to understand my journey," the candidate said.
