COLOMBO (News1st): Sri Lanka Cricket's (SLC) Vice President K. Mathivanan has resigned from his post expressing dissapointment at the conduct of the local cricketing authority.
"The current administration carries out their duties without transparency and integrity," Mathivanan said in his resignation letter on Wednesday.
He added that SLC has sidelined him from administration activities contrary to the norms which require Vice Presidents to participate in the process.
"At both Executive Committee and Management Committee meetings, my opinions have not been sought nor heeded," the outgoing Vice President claimed.
Mathivanan said his objections to certain board decisions had been ignored and that he had not been provided with notices of meetings and board papers.
He further noted that he had refused to endorse decisions taken without discussions and that the conduct of the SLC administration is detrimental to good order and discipline.
"I do not wish to be party to such flippant decision making," Mathivanan stressed.
He emphasised that he had fulfilled his duties to the fullest and that he will continue to work for the betterment of cricket while being outside the administration.
