PCoI agrees not to summon three witnesses until petitions are heard

Colombo (News 1st);  The Presidential Commission of Inquiry investigating incidents of Political Victimization on Monday (27) agreed at the Court of Appeal it would not summon JVP Leader Anura Kumara Dissanayake, Ex-Director of the CID SP Shani Abeysekara and Senior State Counsel Janaka Bandara to the Presidential Commission until the examination of petitions filed by them with the Court of Appeal is complete.

The petitions were called up in the presence of President of the Court of Appeal Justice A.H.M.D Nawaz and Justice Sobitha Rajakaruna.

President's Counsel Uditha Igalahewa appearing for the Presidential Commission agreed not to summon the trio at the Court of Appeal.

The matter will be called up again on the 29th of September.
