Validity of all types of VISA extended for a period of 30 days from 11th June

Colombo (News 1st);  The Department of Immigration and Emigration says it decided to extend the validity period of all types of Visas for another period of 30 days with effect from 11th June 2020 to 11th July 2020 to allow all foreigners to regularize their visas accordingly. All applicants are advised to pay the relevant visa fee and get the visa endorsed in the Passport by securing an appointment on or before 11th July 2020 using the link https://eservices.immigration.gov.lk/vs All visas which expire between March 7th to July 11th, 2020, will be exempted from being charged the overstay penalty. Those who possess a due Appointment Notice are only be permitted to enter the Department and only a limited number of appointments will be given per day and the applicants shall be present at the Department 15 min prior to the allocated time.
