A criminal wanted for multiple crimes, identified as " Gona-Kovile Ra'ja ", killed in a shootout with police in Minuwangoda

COLOMBO (News1st): A suspect wanted for many crimes including the shooting at a hotel in Soysapura, Ratmalana died this morning (June 07) in Minuwangoda following a shoot out with the Police. Police media Spokesperson SP Jaliya Senaratne said,  the Peliyagoda division of the Crimes Investigations Unit raided a house in Minuwangoda following information received that an underworld leader was present at the house. The suspect has opened fire at the Police triggering a shoot out between the two parties. Police said the suspect died of gunshot injuries. "Suspect in question named Pathirage Raja Wimaladharama alias 'Gona Kovile Raja' was wanted for many crimes including the 2008 murder of Ranjan Silva in 2018," Police said
