State universities to reopen for final year medical students

COLOMBO (News1st) : All state universities will be re-opened from June 15 for final year students of medical faculties, the University Grants Commission (UGC) said on Tuesday. This decision had been reached to conduct the exams for these students, UGC Chairman Professor Sampath Amaratunge told reporters. Universities and schools have remained shut for more than two months since mid-March, as part of efforts to combat the coronavirus.
