COLOMBO (News 1st): More than 3000 people stranded in the Western Province were sent back to their respective villages on Tuesday (May 26).
"They were dispatched to their villages from the Piliyandala main bus stand and the Mount Lavinia Railway station," Police said.
On the 23rd of this month, around 1500 people were sent back to their homes.
More than 16,000 people have been sent back from the Western province so far.
