COLOMBO (News 1st): The Police Headquarters transferred 11 Senior police officers including Director - CID and Director - TID, on Friday (May 22), with immediate effect.
"These transfers and appointments were made following approval from the National Police Commission and agreement by the National Election Commission based on service requirements," said the Police Headquarters in a statement issued on Friday night.
SSP W. Thilakaratne who served as the Director of the Criminal Investigations Department has been transferred as the Director of the Ministerial Security Division.
SSP D.V.P. Ajith Hesiri, who served as the Director of the Ministerial Security Division, has been transferred as the Director of the Sri Lanka Police College.
SSP H.C.A. Pushpakumara who served as the Director of the Sri Lanka Police Training College has been transferred as the Director of the Western Province Intelligence Unit.
SSP T.G.N.W.D. Thalduwa who served as the Director of the Western Province Intelligence Unit has been transferred as the Director of the Terrorist Investigation Division.
SSP A.R.P.J. Alwis who served as the Director of the Terrorist Investigation Division has been transferred as the Director of the Criminal Investigation Department.
SSP K.G.L. Geetha who was in-charge of the Nugegoda police division has been appointed as the Director of the Special Investigation Unit.
SP R.M.P.N. Ratnayake who served at the Intelligence and Surveillance Unit in Nugegoda has been transferred as the Superintendent in-charge of the Nugegoda Division.
SP C.D. Gurusinghe who served as the Director of the Special Investigation Unit has been transferred to the Special Bureau.
SP R.A.D.E.L. Randeniya has been transferred from the Colombo-South Police division to the Criminal Investigation Department.
ASP K.S.K Rupasinghe has been transferred from the Western Province (South) Motor Traffic Division to the Intelligence and Surveillance Unit of Nugegoda.
ASP B.G. De Silva Kalinga has been temporarily transferred from the Kelaniya division to the Gampaha Division.
