Colombo (News 1st); 164 Sri Lankans returned to the island from India aboard a special repatriation flight operated by SriLankan Airlines today.
Admiral Jayanath Colombage, the Additional Secretary to the President for Foreign Relations speaking to News 1st said the flight left for Bangalore this morning and returned with passengers this afternoon.
The group of Sri Lankans were taken away for a mandatory 21 day quarantine period upon arrival and will be subject to PCR tests as well.
