UPDATE: Total confirmed COVID-19 cases in Sri Lanka rise to 420

COLOMBO (News 1st): The total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in the country has risen to 420 with 3 new cases confirmed late last night. According to Director General of Health Services, Dr. Anil Jasinghe, the highest daily tally of 49 COVID-19 cases in Sri Lanka was reported on Friday. The three new cases were confirmed late last night by the Epidemiology Unit of the Ministry of Health bringing the daily total to 52. A total of 304 active COVID-19 patients are currently under medical care, according to data from the COVID-19 Dashboard at the Health Promotion Bureau. A total of 183 suspected COVID-19 patients are currently under observation. The total number of recoveries in Sri Lanka stands at 109. Seven people have died from the virus in the island.
