Army QRT riders carry out random temperature checks in Colombo

COLOMBO (News1st): Following an initiative proposed by the Head of the National Operation Centre for Prevention of COVID -19 Outbreak, Chief of Defence Staff and Commander of the Army, Lieutenant General Shavendra Silva, a Quick Reaction Team (QRT) of 20 Army riders, is now engaged in carrying out random temperature checks on groups of people who have arrived in Colombo on essential services. This is in a bid to further strengthen the ongoing preventive mechanism of the government against COVID-19 in most risky Colombo district.
