Government revises curfew regulations

Govt. to lift curfew in certain areas of high risk zones on April 22

COLOMBO (News1st): The government has decided to relax curfew regulations in a bid to restore normalcy in the country following the outbreak of COVID 19. Accordingly curfew for the entire island except for Colombo, Gampaha, Kalutara, Puttalam Kandy Kegalle and Ampara Districts will be lifted at 5 am on Monday the 20th and reimposed at 8 PM the same day. The curfew for these districts will be in effect daily from 8PM to 5AM the next day. Curfew for Alawathugoda, Akurana, Warakapola and AKkarepaththu Police divisions will remain in place until further notice. For all other areas in the Kandy, Kegalle and Ampara Districts will be lifted daily at 5 am from Monday the 20th of April and will be reimposed at 8 PM the same day. For Colombo Gampaha and Puttalam Districts Curfew will be lifted Daily at 5 AM from Wednesday the 22nd and will be reimposed at 8 PM the same day. However curfew will remain in place for ;
