143 CASES IN TOTAL, 21 CASES YESTERDAY, 10 CASES FROM PUTTALAM

The number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Sri Lanka has increased to 143. Yesterday alone 21 new cases were confirmed, making it the highest number of new cases reported in a single day in the country so far. 10 of the new cases were reported from Puttalam. 124 people out of the total count are currently receiving treatment in hospitals. 17 people have fully recovered. 173 suspected cases are being treated in hospitals under expert medical supervision. These include 29 children. The virus has claimed the lives of 2 people in the country.
