Visit Eye Hospital only for essential services - NEH Director

The General Public is requested to only visit the National Eye Hospital in the event of an emergency as a result of COVID-19 concerns. The Director of the National Eye Hospital U.C. Kumarathilake, in a statement, noted the general public is requested to only visit the National Eye Hospital for accident treatment, clinical treatment and essential services. She said the National Eye Hospital experiences an influx of more than 3000 people daily adding such a mass gathering raises concerns surrounding the spread of COVID-19. This measures taken as the Government of Sri Lanka decided to minimize mass gathering of the general public due to COVID-19 concerns.
