COLOMBO (News 1st):- The Ceylon Transport Board has decided to limit the number of passengers that could travel in a bus.
The matter was discussed at a meeting chaired by the Secretary to the Ministry of Transport. Under this initiative, apart from passengers who could occupy seats a very limited number of passengers will be boarded on a bus.
The Superintendent of the CTB, A. H. Panduka says that they've decided to deploy more buses due to these reasons. In addition, bus drivers and conductors are due to be given masks.
Suitable measures to implement the effort are due to be taken in the near future. This decision will be made as part of the initiative to eradicate the Coronavirus.
