Wellawatte - Battaramulla passenger boat service launched

Colombo (News 1st) - The new passenger boat service from Wellawatte to Battaramulla has commenced operations. Chairman of the Sri Lanka Land Development Corporation Major General (Rtd) M.R.W. De Zoysa noted that boats will operate from both locations at 30-minute intervals. One passenger boat is capable of carrying 16 persons. The service will be in operation from 6am to 6pm. A similar service was launched previously as well, however, the service came to halt due to various reasons.
