PM Mahinda Rajapaksa to chair party leaders meeting of new alliance

Colombo (News 1st) - The first party leaders meeting of the Sri Lanka Freedom People's Alliance, the new alliance formed between the SLPP, SLFP and 10 other political parties is set to take place today. The meeting will be chaired by the leader of the new alliance PM Mahinda Rajapaksa. All constituent party leaders and party secretaries are expected to attend the meeting. Deputy Chairman of the new alliance, Min. Dinesh Gunawardene noted that the meeting set for today will focus on the upcoming election.
