11 arrested for the possession of heroin and illegal liquor

Colombo (News 1st): 11 people were arrested for the possession of heroin and illegal liquor from several areas of the island. A suspect was arrested from Weligama for the possession of 17 grams and 400 milligrams of heroin. Accordingly, the suspect will be produced in court today (January 14). Meanwhile, 5 suspects were arrested from Dambulla, Thihagoda, Weligama, and Awissawella for the possession of a total of 1.5 grams of heroin. Five others were arrested from Weerambugedara, Marawila, Kahawatte, and Hambantota for peddling illegal alcohol.
