Ranil Wickremesinghe is an MP now, he could be arrested for the bond scam: Ven. Pahiyangala Ananda Sagara Thero

COLOMBO (News 1st) - Parliamentarian Ashok Abeysinghe challenged the Government today (December 31). UNP MP Ashok Abeysinghe: "Are they re-investigating the Thajudeen case? What about the bag of gems. What about the CSN case and the Siriliya Account? No one talks of these. Ekneligoda's murder, Keith Noir's case, and Lasantha Wikcremetunge's case. No one speaks of these. But there was a mistake from our end too. Our people also had deals. I say that fearlessly. It was because of those deals that we could not accomplish what we wanted. The people of this country should know who the people are behind these deals. We will publicize the names of those people in the next election. I challenge this Government to release the Forensic Audit Report of the Central Bank Bond Scam. Then the misdealings and the corruption of the previous Government will be revealed." Udaya Gammanpila, Leader of Pivithuru Hela Urumaya responded that they cannot proceed with the court case until Arjuna Mahendran is extradited to Sri Lanka from Singapore. He added that Rajitha Senaratne is also trying to go to Singapore and if he does he too will not return. Ven. Pahiyangala Ananda Sagara Thero, Surakimu Sri Lanka Organization noted that they have to come to an understanding that this Government has not done anything even close to the investigations carried out by the previous Government on the Bond Scam. "The only question we have is whether these matters have been politicized. There is room for a fair investigation to be carried out. Ranil Wickremesinghe can be arrested under those fair investigations. He has been accused of the Bond Scam as well. He can be arrested and interrogated. He is only an MP now" Thero added.
