Heavy showers to ease after Christmas

Colombo (News 1st) - According to the Met. Department Showery conditions over the island are likely to temporarily reduce to some extent from the 25th of  December. However, the department notes that showers or thundershowers will occur at times in the Northern province. Several spells of showers have also been forecast for the Uva, North-Central and Eastern provinces as well as the Nuwara Eliya and Matale districts. Showers or thundershowers will occur at several places elsewhere particularly after 2.00 p.m.
