Security heightened during Christmas season: Commander of Sri Lanka Army

COLOMBO (News 1st) - Commander of Sri Lanka Army Lieutenant General Shavendra Silva spoke about the security measures set in place for the festive season. Lt. Gen. Shavendra Silva, Commander of Sri Lanka Army noted that with the dawn of Christmas in 2 days, the Sri Lanka Army, the tri forces and the police have been instructed to provide the maximum protection during this festive season. He added that therefore the security council has instructed the tri forces and the police in this regard. "We have taken all measures to provide maximum security during the festive season." Commander of Sri Lanka Army Lieutenant General Shavendra Silva concluded.
