STF busts drug trafficker in Nawagamuwa

Colombo (News 1st) - The Police Special Task Force has taken into custody a suspect in the Nawagamuwa area along with 643g of Heroin. According to the Police, the arrested suspect is wanted by the Police in connection to a number of other alleged crimes. The Police noted that their investigations have led them to believe that the arrested suspect was operating a heroin trafficking ring on behalf of Chandima Rohana Manju alias Kalu Sagara who is believed to be overseas. The individual known as Kalu Sagara is currently out on bail. He was arrested on charges of causing unrest (by discharging a weapon) in Kolonwa and peddling narcotics.
