Showery conditions to intensify

COLOMBO(News 1st) - The Department of Meteorology stated that the Northeast monsoon condition is gradually appearing over the country and is expected to be fully established by tomorrow(November 27). Therefore prevailing showery conditions are likely to intensify from tomorrow onwards. Showers or thundershowers will occur at times in the Northern, North-central, Eastern and Uva provinces as well as in Hambanthota district. Showers or thundershowers are expected in the other areas after 1.00 pm. Fairly heavy showers about 75-100 mm are likely at some places in Sabaragamuwa, Western, Central, Eastern and Uva provinces as well as in the Jaffna and Mullaitivu districts.
