I will change the tax system : Sajith Premadasa

COLOMBO(News 1st) - A public meeting of the New Democratic Front was held yesterday (October 20) at Yatiyantota. The meeting was chaired by the Presidential candidate of the NDF Sajith Premadasa and it was organized by UNP Kegalle District MP Sujith Sanjaya SLFP organizer for the Kegalle District Bandula Saparamadu and Mohamed Latif of the SLFP from the Mawanella PS have joined hands to support the New Democratic Front. Minister Sajith Premadasa said: "A government is established to protect the country, to uplift the country, to develop the country, to support the citizens of the country. The responsibility of a government is not to pressure the people. Our era will not be one where the common man will be pressured, our era will be one that will support to uplift the common man. Seeing your faces makes me feel alive. It brings me strength. Those are the qualities of the Premadasas. We feel alive when we see people. We are not doing politics but a service to the country. The era which will begin from the 16th is one where the common man will be crowned. As soon as I'm appointed as president I will command the finance ministry to change the tax system, which causes much inconvenience to the common man. We will spearhead a leadership where Sri Lankan qualities are protected."
