Hydro-electric power stations contribution at its peak due to prevailing rains

COLOMBO (News 1st):- Recording the highest level of water within the year, the water level in many main water sources around the hydro-electric power plants has increased to 75.8%. Media Spokesperson of the Ministry of Power and Renewable Energy, Sulakshana Jayawardene states that therefore the hydro-electric power plants are producing its highest contribution to the national grid, which is 55% when taken as a percentage.
