COLOMBO (News 1st); 139 Police OICs have been have been transferred.
The transfers have been made by the Acting Inspector General of Police Senior DIG Priyantha Weerasooriya under the approval of the National Police Commission.
Accordingly, these transfers are due to take effect tomorrow and the 18th.
A number of Police OICs in Colombo and the suburbs have been assigned to general duties under these transfers.
Additionally, 53 Police OICs have been assigned to general duties under the transfers while 50 new appointments are also among the transfers.
