Seven trains operate to Fort despite strike : Railway Department

COLOMBO (News 1st): - The Railway Department said that seven trains operated to Fort, Colombo this morning (September 28) despite the strike action. Superintendent of Railways Gamini Seneviratne said that trains from Kandy, Mahawa, Veyangoda, Galle, Avissawella, and Chilaw arrived at Fort, Colombo. Drivers trade unions said that the strike action will not be called off until solutions to issues including salary anomalies are provided.
