2.9kg of ICE seized at BIA

COLOMBO (News 1st) - A Sri Lankan national was arrested upon arrival at the BIA for the possession of controlled substance ICE. 2.9 kg of ICE were discovered hidden in a false bottom of the suspect's luggage. The suspect has returned to Sri lanka from Chennai. The 68-year-old suspect is a resident of Wattala will be produced before the Negombo Magistrate's Court. The police noted that they hope to obtain a 07-day detention order to interrogate the suspect.
