Temporary block on Social Media, lifted

Colombo (News1st) - The restrictions imposed on accessing social media platforms and messaging apps have been lifted. This was confirmed by the Government Information Department. Access to a number of social media platforms including Facebook and Youtube were temporarily blocked last night. It is believed that the latest block imposed on social media platforms came after an incident in the Negombo area. Curfew was imposed on Sunday (May 5) night and was in effect till 7 am today.
