Parliament: Emergency law bill to be presented on April 24th

COLOMBO (News 1st) - The parliament is to convene from 1 pm t0 2 pm today(April 23). The prime minister and the opposition leader are to make special statements during the session. The bill on the emergency law is to be presented before the parliament. The speaker's media unit announced that the bill is to be taken up for debate on April 24th at a parliamentary session between 10 am and 4 pm. The News 1st staff reporter Amarasri Bandara noted that all the religious leaders and political leaders at a party leader's meeting decided to convene an inter-parliamentary conference on the 26th of April 26th at 3 pm to discuss the current crisis.
