Shangri-La Hotel closed until further notice

Colombo (News 1st): Shangri-La hotel Colombo issuing a media statement today (22) noted that a decision has been reached to close the hotel until further notice. Following the explosions that took place yesterday (21) at the hotel. The hotel confirmed that they are aware of the number of casualties among their guests and colleagues, which also includes three of their colleagues who were fatally injured in the course of their duties. Shangri-La hotel noted that they will continue to work closely with local authorities and emergency services to provide their fullest assistance and support to all affected parties. They have announced that they will continue to provide alternative accommodation for their affected guests.
