Ryan being questioned by CID

Colombo (News 1st) - Actor Ryan Van Rooyen, who was arrested with notorious underworld drug kingpin Makandure Madush in Dubai was deported yesterday (April 4), has been handed over to the Weligama Police by the CID. He is to be questioned over the discovery of a stock of Ganja in his motorcycle. Meanwhile, Police media spokesperson SP Ruwan Gunasekara said the 4 other suspects who were deported together with Ryan Van Rooyen from Dubai, are being questioned by CID officials. The five, including actor Van Rooyen, were deported from Dubai and on arrival were detained by CID officials at the Bandaranaike International Airport yesterday (April 4). The other 04 men are Mohamed Wasimdeem, Dimuthu Surantha Perera, Suraj Kavinda Silva, and Charitha Pathman. A total of 13 people have been deported from Dubai following Madush's arrest.
