Duty free vehicles permits to be re-introduced

Colombo (News 1st): Finance Minister Mangala Samaraweera said the suspended process of importing duty-free vehicles for the use of state sector employees will be re-introduced from July 1st. He said those who obtained the permits before December 31st 2018 will be eligible to open Letters of Credit (LC) from May 1st. For permits obtained before February 28th 2019 and July 31st 2019, LCs can be opened in August and September 2019.
