Gammadda takes a new step in Nuwara Eliya

Colombo (News 1st): Construction of another project under the Gammadda 1000 projects initiative began in Nuwara Eliya today (March 22). The Holy Trinity College in Hawaeliya, Nuwara Eliya provides education to over 500 children, however, the lack of proper sanitary facilities at the school had affected the lives of these children. After authorities were notified on the matter repeatedly to no avail, the issue was brought to the attention of the News 1st Gammedda team. Subsequently, a project was launched to provide proper sanitary facilities to the children studying at this school. The project was funded by the generous contributions of businessman Mohammed Riyaz. The construction of the project commenced under the auspices of the Additional Director for Education of the Nuwara Eliya Zone S. Mohanraj. Representatives of the News 1st staff including former DIG and now News 1st Director of Administration Kithsiri Dayananda and News 1st Assistant Manager Jeganath Kanna attended the event.
