COLOMBO (News 1st) - Senior administrative officer Upali Marasinghe has been appointed as the new Chairman of the Sri Lanka Transport Board. He is due to assume duties today (February 27).
Upali Marasinghe has previously functioned as the secretary to several ministries including Education, Health and Petroleum. He also functioned as the former Chairman of the National Productivity Secretariat.
The appointment was made to fill the vacancy with the resignation of Ramal Siriwardene as Chairman of the Transport Board.
