Parents in Dambulla take to the streets against lack of teachers

COLOMBO(News 1st) - A group of parents and students commenced a protest blocking the A-9 route near Pannampitiya, Dambulla this morning (February 08). Their grievance was that lack of a teacher for grade 5 students at the Pannampitiya Sri Maliyadeva Vidyalaya. According to our correspondent in the area, the protest was conducted for over an hour and led to the traffic congestion on the A-9 route.
