Two EU MPs call on Finance Minister

COLOMBO (News 1st) -
Two EU MPs Lord William Dartmouth and Geoffrey Van Orden called on the Minister of Finance Mangala Samaraweera yesterday (January 02)
.
The duo had visited Sri Lanka as members of the “Friends of Sri Lanka Group."
The meeting took place at the office of the Finance Minister.
Both parties had agreed to enhance bilateral trade and tourism cooperation.
In addition
, they had also agreed on maximizing benefits for Sri Lanka under the EU’s GSP+ facility.
Minister Malik Samarawickrema, Secretary to the Treasury Dr. R.H.S.Samaratunge and senior advisor to the Finance Minister Mano Tittawella were also present at the meeting
