COLOMBO (News 1st) - A low-pressure area is likely to develop over the central part of the South Bay of Bengal tonight (November 05). The Department of Meteorology said it is very likely to move west-northwestwards across the southwest Bay of Bengal.
Due to this situation rainfall is expected to enhance over the island particularly in the Eastern, Uva and North-central provinces.
The department requests the general public, naval and fishing communities to be attentive about advisories issued by the Department. Showers or thundershowers will occur at times in Eastern, North-central, Southern and Uva provinces.
