Police arrests 25 for possession of drugs in Nuwara Eliya

COLOMBO (News 1st) - 25 youth were arrested in the Nuwara Eliya area for the possession of illegal narcotics. The suspects were arrested after they were stopped by roadblocks set up along the Hatton Nuwara Eliya road. Police were able to recover Kerala ganja, cannabis, illegal cigarettes and other narcotics through the raids. The suspects have been identified as residents of Colombo, Galle, Matara, and Kandy who were on vacation. They are to be produced before the Hatton Magistrate's Court today (September 23).
