Gas prices remain unchanged

COLOMBO (News1st) - The Ministry of Industry and Commerce says that gas prices remain unchanged.
The Secretary to the Ministry Ranjith Ashoka said that the news reports in print and on the web stating that the gas prices had been increased by Rs. 158 is false.
However, he added that requests have been made by gas companies to increase the prices.
According to the Secretary of the Ministry of Industry and Commerce, a study under the Consumer Affairs Authority (CAA) has been initiated regarding the need of a price revision.
